United Way Ambassador for HEB Raynell Wynn dies after battling with cancer

San Antonio, TX – San Antonio, Texas, is saddened by the passing of Raynell Myree Wynn, a beloved figure and United Way Ambassador for HEB, who passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer. Raynell, aged 59, leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service.

Born on February 9, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, Raynell was a graduate of Winston Churchill High School and earned a BBA in Marketing from Texas State University in 1986. Her 38-year tenure at HEB Grocery Company was marked by notable achievements, especially as a pioneering Unit Director, contributing significantly to the company’s advancements in women’s leadership.

Raynell’s impact extended beyond her role as a Unit Director. She actively participated in the World’s Greatest Operator’s committee, served as the United Way Ambassador for HEB, and held esteemed positions such as Regional Merchant for the San Antonio Region. Her dedication and leadership were honored when she was inducted into the HEB Hall of Fame, a testament to her outstanding contributions.

Her colleagues remember Raynell with admiration, acknowledging her enduring impact on everyone she worked with. Outside her professional life, Raynell found immense joy in her family, including her children Brittany and Jacob, her beloved dog Lambeau, close friends, HEB partners, and loyal customers.

Raynell’s vibrant spirit shone through her diverse interests, including her love for the Green Bay Packers, trips with her children, NASCAR races, Aerosmith concerts, fast cars, pool days, and adventures in Las Vegas. Her infectious smile and warm demeanor lit up every room, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.

Survived by her children, grandchildren, brother, ex-husband, extended family, and numerous loved ones, Raynell is mourned by a community that cherished her presence deeply.
